Orlando Magic @ Denver Nuggets
Emmanuel Mudiay- DK: $4600 FD: $4500
This is a very interesting matchup for Emmanuel Mudiay, as his price is low enough that there is a chance he could have a nice game and reach value vs the Magic. The Magic allow the 7th most DFS points to opposing PG’s hinting towards the fact that Mudiay may be a nice, cheap option at PG. Although the last time these two teams squared off, Mudiay was held to just 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. He may be worth a roster if you are attempting to go cheap at Point Guard to pay up for some of the more expensive players on today’s slate. The story today is the same as it seems to be every time the Nuggets play, proceed with caution when it comes to deploying Emmanuel Mudiay on your team.
Gary Harris- DK:$4700 FD:$4800
Will Barton- DK:$5200 FD:$4800
The two shooting guards on the Denver Nuggets have both seen their prices dip a little bit when it comes to DFS, but that is very beneficial for us. With both being very close, if not sub $5000, it is no stretch to believe that both have the potential to reach value. Both Barton and Harris have somewhat similar styles of play as they both do much more than just score the ball, and those are the types of player that you should target for your rosters. Both have the potential to get 10 or more rebound, assists and steals added together. If they can do that then hitting value will become much easier. It is worth noting as well that Gary Harris missed the first game when these two squared off in Orlando on December 10th.
Wilson Chandler- DK:$6400 FD:$5800
Danilo Gallinari- DK:$6000 FD:$5900
Both Chandler and Gallinari are hot and seem to be the type of players you need to hop on board with until they cool off. Danilo has gone 25+ DFS points in 3 out of 5 games with 2 being 30+ point games. Chandler, on the other hand, has had 30+ point DFS games in 3 out of last 5. While Chandler did not play vs Orlando on December 10th, Gallinari had a very nice night which saw him drop in 21 points and add 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Pair all this with the fact they get to play the Magic who are in the bottom third of the league when it comes to average DFS points against vs SF’s, and it sounds like this is a golden matchup for the Forwards for the Nuggets.
Nikola Jokić- DK:$7900 FD:$8000
When you think about what Jokić has been able to do this year while only averaging 24.5 minutes/game it is really incredible. That stat sheet stuffing style of play that “the Joker” plays with has quickly made him one of the most expensive and popular PF’s in the league. This is for very good reason as well as he has scored more than 35 DFS points for the last 7 games, including multiple trips to the 40 club. The Magic, however, do have one of the better rim protectors in the game in Serge Ibaka who will most likely matchup across from Jokić. Last time out vs the Magic, Jokić had 14 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. He did all that while playing only 26 minutes, if Jokić can stay on the court for even just a little longer, we may be in for another huge night from Jokić.
