Los Angeles Clippers vs Denver Nuggets
Emmanuel Mudiay (PROBABLE)- DK:$4700 FD:$4900
With no CP3 for the Clippers that means Mudiay could be a very nice play tonight. Coaches son, aka Austin Rivers, will oppose Mudiay and the two will face off tonight a lot. 3 out of Mudiay’s last 4 nights have seen him go for more than 20 DFS points and I believe he could do it again tonight. Gary Harris is still out so it may open up more scoring opportunities for Mudiay, who has been shooting better as of late. Without the exceptional defender that Chris Paul is, Mudiay looks like an attractive low priced option tonight.
Sleeper: Jamal Murray, could see minutes in the mid 20’s tonight and can light it up scoring wise like very few can.
Will Barton– DK:$6500 FD:$5700
The story is the same is it is every night Gary Harris doesn’t play. As long as Barton is still cheap, he is a fantastic play. In the two games Harris hasn’t played in, Barton has gone for more than 33 twice, including one in the 40’s. The Clippers are in the top 15 in guarding opposing SG’s but that is with CP3 who effects that number as well. Barton is gonna get his shots, no doubt about it, and with no Gary Harris anticipate even more opportunities. I think Barton is a great play again tonight, even on this 8 game slate.
Wilson Chandler– DK:$5800 FD:$5700
Danilo Gallinari(QUESTIONABLE)- DK:$5700 FD:$5900
With Chandler returning from his one-game absence, both him and Gallinari will look to extend their strong string of play. While both are scoring the ball well, what takes their DFS game to the next level is their ability to grab rebounds and dish out assists. They are the exact type of players that you should target in your lineups. While the Clippers Small Forward, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, is a solid defender, I feel Chandler and Gallo can do well tonight and continue their streak of good games.
Kenneth Faried– DK:$5300 FD:$5500
Another position for the Clippers that has been drained by injury, this time All-World Power Forward Blake Griffin. That opens up the possibility for Faried to not only score more points around the hoop but also dominate the glass. Expect both Faried and Clippers DeAndre Jordan to both be vacuums on the glass tonight. Both teams are top half in the league when it comes to Rebounds per Game, with the Nuggets checking in at #2 in that category. Faried has a great chance to snag himself a double-double and if he does it should be a nice night for him in DFS. With Jordan hanging around the rim it may effect Faried’s scoring ability but Faried’s offensive game is expanding to the point he still should get himself some good looks.
Nikola Jokić– DK-$9300 FD:-$9900
Nikola Jokić is good. Really damn good. Jokić has come a long way this season, I still remember the nights when he was around $6000, those were the days. Jokić is getting very expensive however he is still hitting value, he’s had 3 straight 50+ DFS point games. He has shown he can do it vs some great defensive teams as well including the Spurs where he went for a new career-high 35 points with 12 boards and 4 assists. It was a low assist night for him but he made up for it with everything else he did. What makes last game even more impressive is the fact he played through an injury which has forced him to be listed as a game-time decision. The Clippers are exceptional vs opposing Centers, led by Deandre Jordan, however, Jokić has shown no matter who is thrown at him, he can take it. With his array of no-look passes and floaters may lead him to yet another amazing night.
