Our own Nuggets are back home in the Mile High City ready to face the Clippers for the third time. As of right now, the season series stands at 1-1 and the Nuggets are looking to change that. Tonight, we will have Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, and Darrell Arthur back in the lineup to take on the Clippers, who are currently without Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
On Thursday night when we faced the Spurs, we were without Gallo, Wilson, Darrell, and Gary Harris for injury or personal reasons so tonight, I, just like everyone else, am excited to see this team coming back together. Nikola Jokic (no surprise there) was the star of the Thursday’s loss when he had a new career high of 35 points. I’m expecting him to drop quite a few points tonight as well. Another silver lining to Thursday night’s game? Juancho HernanGomez and Jamal Murray saw quality minutes against a great team!
The Clippers will be visiting the Mile High City coming off of a seven-game win streak that was snapped in a home loss to the Timberwolves. Griffin, who had knee surgery on December 20th was probable to return to the court tonight but as of now, it looks like he’ll be sitting out. Without Chris Paul, the Clippers are currently 2-6 and the Nuggets look to push that to 2-7.

Keys to the game, courtesy of @SeanMEnglish:
- Take advantage of Chris Paul’s absence. Win the point guard battle.
- The Clippers are 5th in the NBA in 3-point shooting. Don’t let them get hot from downtown
- The Nuggets bigs must box out DeAndre Jordan. In addition, Jokic and company must shot fake when down low. Limit Jordan’s paint presence.
