Milwaukee Bucks @ Denver Nuggets
Emmanuel Mudiay(QUESTIONABLE)-DK:$4500 FD:$5300
Jamal Murray: DK:$3600 FD:$3800
Mudiay is questionable for tonight’s game, and even if he does play his matchup is very difficult. The Bucks throw out one of the best defenses when it comes to stopping opposing PG’s. They are a top 2 team on Fanduel giving up around 40 DFS points a night to PG’s, while on DraftKings they allow 51 points per contest which is good enough for 5th best in the league. This is the first time these two teams have played so we do not have any past numbers to go off. Mudiay is coming off a good game vs Memphis where he scored 14 points had 6 rebounds and 7 assists. That was against a very good defender in Mike Conley, so it isn’t crazy to think Mudiay could have a nice night. With Mudiay being questionable we will have to wait till closer to tip to truly know if he’s playing or not. For Jamal Murray, he may be another punt play tonight at PG if Mudiay can’t play. He is coming off three games in a row where he scored in the 20’s DFS wise and saw mid to high 20’s in minutes. If he sees those minutes again, the blue arrow could be a sneaky play on this big slate. However, if Mudiay does suit up and play, be cautious of using Jamal Murray tonight.
Gary Harris-DK$4700: FD:$5100
Will Barton(QUESTIONABLE)– DK:$5400 FD:$5000
In the two games that Will Barton has missed, Gary Harris has had one good and one bad game. Against the Lakers he was able to hit the 30’s club and provide us with great value, however, last game out vs the Grizzlies he left us wanting more as DFS players as he scored in the teens. This seems like a game where Harris can get back on track as the Bucks are 8th worst in the league at guarding SG’s on DraftKings. They allow an average of 43.1 points a game to opposing SG’s and on Fanduel it is similar as well, they are the 9th worst team allowing around 37 points a game. Harris seems like a play, at his price, that could turn into some good value. As for Barton, it remains to be seen if he will play but even if he does it doesn’t seem like the right play. In three out of his last four games he has played in he has failed to reach 20 points. That one game he did he just barely made it, and it’s no secret a big reason why is Gary Harris. It seems as if when Harris plays, Barton is very inconsistent in DFS. Once again, he must prove to DFS players that he can produce with a healthy Harris on the Nuggets.
Wilson Chandler– DK:$5700 FD:$6300
Reports came out yesterday that Wilson Chandler is unhappy with his current situation here in Denver and may want to be traded. His main complaint was a lack of starting time, tonight, however, he will get his wish. With Danilo Gallinari battling a groin injury, Chandler will be thrust into the starting 5. Luckily for us and Chandler, he gets to go up against one of the worst teams at guarding SF’s. On Fanduel they are second worst in the league allowing 41 points a game and on DraftKings they allow 47 points a game, also second worst. When Chandler sees starters minutes, usually in the thirties, he consistently plays well. Against the Lakers, he dropped a 50 bomb on us owners and went for crazy value. While it is unlikely he does that this time around, it isn’t hard to think that he will provide us with a nice little game.
Kenneth Faried– DK:$6000 FD:$6900
The Manimal has been playing very well as of late and his price is reflecting that. He is nearing 7k on Fanduel but remains at a reasonably priced 6k on DraftKings. The Bucks are 9th best in the league on DraftKings when it comes to guarding opposing PF’s allowing around 45 points per game. On Fanduel they allow 40 a game which is 11 best in the league. This is no easy game for Faried, especially on Fanduel where he needs around 35 points to hit value. On DraftKings is is easier for him to approach and pass value as he needs about 30 points. While he usually hovers around that 25 to 30 point mark, he may surprise us and go a for a big night like we saw vs PHO and LAL.
Nikola Jokić(QUESTIONABLE)– DK-$9300 FD:-$10300
Jokic has been out for 3 games now and boy have the Nuggets and DFS owners around the world missed him. We still have no clue if he will play tonight, we should know closer to tip, but it is encouraging to see him get upgraded to questionable. If he does play, he will face a middle of the pack team defensively vs centers. The Bucks allow around 46 a game, which is very similar to the Denver Nuggets who allow around 47. On DraftKings they allow 49 per game which is also middle of the pack. Before his injury, he was putting up monster numbers. He had just gone for a 50 point game and a 60 point game DFS-wise on back-to-back games. We don’t know if Jokic will be on a minute restriction if he returns this game but the Nuggets could take it slow with their rising star. IF he plays, be cautious of a minute restriction and/or a small workload, at his price it may be smarter to just stay away this game.
