A bombshell from Sam Amick as he reported today Wilson Chandler wants out of Denver. According to multiple sources close to the situation, Chandler has become frustrated with his role with the team.
With Faried stepping back up in the starting role recently at power forward and Danilo Gallinari back into the starting position at the small forward, it moved Wilson Chandler back into a seat on the bench. Chandler who’s having a career year, is averaging 15.4 points and 6.7 rebounds and he obviously feels he deserves a starting role with a team. However “while it’s not believed that Chandler has requested a trade,” the Nuggets are now looking at the real possibility of looking for a trade partner for the 29-year-old.
Denver has been a weird situation since the Melo trade with having a set of talented players, but not an all-star who can help take the team in the next step in the NBA. So now the questions comes to mind, is it time for the Nuggets to move on and begin looking in another direction? That’s a hard question to answer, but we will soon find out as the trade deadline inches closer.
