Another year of rumors, speculation, and unfortunately crushed dreams for Nuggets fans. According Marc Stein the Nuggets made a huge offer to try and land Paul George from the Indiana Pacers.
Denver today made a “monster” offer to Indiana for Paul George, league sources tell @ChrisBHaynes and me, but the talks gained no traction.

Sadly those talks didn’t go any further, and Paul George made it known he would “highly unlikely” sign a long term deal with Denver. It’s unclear what Denver offered in the trade.
According to Chris Haynes, “Paul George respects what GM Tim Connelly is building in Denver, but with San Antonio, Golden State in the West, there’s no path to Finals.” Looks like a little competition hurt the chances of Denver landing the all star.
