Today, just two days after a loss to Memphis at home, the Nuggets travel to Chicago to face Jimmy Butler and the Bulls. Tonight, the Nuggets will also see their former teammate Joffrey Lauvergne, who was traded to the Bulls by the Thunder just before the trade deadline last week.
Our last meeting against the Bulls was back on November 22nd when Jamal Murray put up 24 points. In that game, the Bulls controlled the game early until the Nuggets had a 22-0 run to kick off their second quarter and take a 41-31 lead.
The Nuggets were led by Murray and his 24 points, 6 boards, and 2 assists. Chicago was led by Butler, who had 35 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.
In that meeting, the Nuggets shot 43% from the field, making 43-100, 45.5% from beyond the arc, and 82.4% from the free throw line. Denver had 60 rebounds, 26 assists, 10 turnovers, 60 points in the paint, and 10 turnovers.
Chicago shot 45.3% from the field on 43 of 95 shots, 33.3% from three point land, and 83.3% from the charity stripe. The Bulls had 55 rebounds, 22 assists, 7 turnovers, 48 points in the paint, and 7 turnovers.
As of late, the Nuggets haven’t had an issue with production on the offensive end but, as they have all season, continue to improve on the defensive end, especially if they want to find a win over the Chicago, who have won their last four games.
Tonight, we’ll face off for the second and final time in the regular season. The Bulls are currently sitting in the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 30-29 while the Nuggets are trying to keep their hold on the eighth playoff spot in the West with their 26-33 record.

Keys to Victory:
1. The Bulls are second in the NBA committing only 17.6 fouls per game. Try to get to the charity stripe.
2. The Nuggets are tied for last in the NBA allowing their opponents to shoot 48% from the field. Try to play something that resembles defense.
3. The Nuggets have owned the Bulls in Denver over the years. Can this translate to the Windy City? Try to contain Jimmy Butler and D-Wade.
