After a strong two wins on a short Midwest trip, Danilo Gallinari and the Denver Nuggets will be hosting Kemba Walker and the Charlotte Hornets tonight in the Pepsi Center for the first of two meetings this season.
From playing as teammates on the Italian National Team to playing against one another in the NBA, everybody is excited to see longtime friends, Gallo and Marco Belinelli go head-to-head.
Gallinari is currently Denver’s leading scorer, averaging 17.6 points per game, shooting 44.4% from the field and 88.9% from the free throw line. Belinelli is a shooting guard that is coming off of the bench for Charlotte, averaging 10.6 points per game, 1.9 assists, and 2.6 rebounds.
The struggling Hornets are led by All-Star Kemba Walker with 22.9 points per game, shooting 45.2% from the field and 84% from the charity stripe.
Tonight is the first of a four game home stand and the 28-33 Nuggets are looking to keep some distance between them and those who are fighting to get to the eight seed. Charlotte is 26-35 on the season and 10-22 away, giving Denver the home court advantage.

Keys to Victory, Courtesy of Sean:
- The Hornets are second to last in the NBA, shooting only 43.7% from the field. Do not play lackadaisical defense.
- While the Hornets struggle to shoot the ball, they are top 10 in opponent field goal percentage. Don’t play in their favor.
- I’ve said it once and I’ll wait it again, this team goes as Nikola Jokic goes. I’m not saying he needs to get ANOTHER triple-double, but he needs to play well.
Kenneth Faried (back) out
