With two games remaining for the Denver Nuggets this season, they take their talents to Dallas for a showdown with the Mavericks.
Our last meeting was on February 6th in the Pepsi Center when the Nuggets exploded and got a big 110-87 win. Will Barton led the Nuggets with 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Gary Harris had 20 points, 5 boards, 1 assist, and 2 steals. Wilson Chandler had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Defense won that game against the Mavs and we held the Mavs to just 13 points in the second quarter. The Nuggets were also able to hold Dallas to just 10 points in the paint in the first quarter due to their stellar defense.
The Nuggets shot 50% from the field, 39.3% from three, and 93.8% from the free throw line. Dallas shot just 43% from the field, 30.8% from beyond the arc, and 64.7% from the free throw line. Denver out rebounded the Mavs 49-29, had more assists (28-25), and 7 more blocks (10-3).
Tonight is Dallas’ final home game of the season and they have chosen to honor former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who is reportedly going to be suiting up with the team. There will also be a celebration to celebrate Romo and his accomplishments as a Cowboy. Imagine if he doesn’t just suit up but he actually plays. Now that will be interesting.

Keys to the game:
Leave it on the floor: While the playoff hopes for the Nuggets are long gone, they still need to play true Mile High Basketball.
Youngins: While we still want to secure a win, tonight would be a great opportunity for the youth on this team to get some meaningful minutes. Allow them to play and show their worth.
Defense: Defense got us the huge win over Dallas in February. Play a full 48 minutes on both sides of the ball.
