DENVER- It’s finally here, Nuggets Nation. The worst day of the year for Nuggets fans has finally arrived and it, as always, has been difficult so far.
Last night, our Nuggets delivered a loss to the Dallas Mavericks and are hoping to find one last win against the Oklahoma City Thunder before ending the season. Just three days ago we faced Russell Westbrook and his crew and it was just three days ago that they knocked the Nuggets out of playoff contention with a 36 foot buzzer beater.
While it looked like the Nuggets were going to be able to secure a win, late game execution kept the Nuggets from continuing their playoff push. Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggets with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists in his 38 minutes on the court. Nikola Jokic had 21 points, 6 boards, and 3 assists. Wilson Chandler also had a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists.
With Gallinari out tonight, the Nuggets will have to find somebody else who will step up so that the Nuggets can end their season with a W. The young guys got a lot of playing time last night and so did Mike Miller. Nuggets fans should expect to see the same thing tonight, especially with Danilo Gallinari, Will Barton, Jameer Nelson, and Kenneth Faried out for the final two games of the season.

Keys to the game:
- Stop Russell Westbrook: Westbrook had 50 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists on Sunday. Contain Russell and you could secure a win.
- Don’t settle: Don’t settle for shots from the outside. Attack the paint.
- Leave it all on the floor: Last game of the season means that everybody needs to put forth 110% for whatever time they set foot on the floor.

Until next season, Nuggets fans…
