The wait is finally over, according to Shams Charania via The Vertical Paul Millsap the former Atlanta Hawk has signed a three year deal with the Denver Nuggets. The reported deal is $90 million with a team option in the third year.
It has been rumored since last July that the Nuggets had eyes on landing the 32 year all-star power forward. With multiple deals falling apart since, Denver finally landed their guy.
Millsap is coming off of a year were he averaged 18 points, 7.7 rebounds, and close to 4 assists a game. Pairing him up with Jokic has made the Nuggets a threat once again in the Western Conference.
It’s easy to say this is a big signing for Denver, and helped bring some excitement for the upcoming season. The Nuggets needed to sign a big time player to keep up with a already tough division and western conference. Having a player like Millsap will not just help put this team over the hump to make the playoffs, but it will also help this young core.
