Last night the Denver Nuggets played their worst game of the season against the San Antonio Spurs losing 80-112. The Nuggets were playing a back to back after the victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, while the Spurs were well rested and ready. Disorganized defense and a cold offense is what cost the Nuggets this game and it wasn’t pretty. You know it’s bad when 40 year-old Manu Ginobili throws down a tomahawk slam dunk.

Defensive woes have always hindered the Nuggets but that is usually not a problem since the offense is pretty good. That wasn’t the case for last night. In fact, the Nuggets shot an overall 34 percent from the field, while Nikola Jokic and Gary Harris were the only teammates to score in double digits. Jokic had a great night putting up a near triple-double with 23 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Harris helped chipping in 18 points.

What baffled me about last night’s game was the lack of scoring from Jamal Murray and Trey Lyles who combined for a total of just five points on 2-16 shooting. Richard Jefferson was announced to receive more minutes and played for 24 putting up just six points and three rebounds. Malik Beasley played for 17 minutes and was unable to score going 0-6. it was just one ugly game that will hopefully soon be forgotten. Here are the stats below.
